The brief was to raise awareness of Onimusha's release on Playstation 2. The target audience was made aware of the campaign through banner placement, opt-in email shots, newsgroup interaction and a 'send to a friend' mechanism.

An incentive linked to the 'send to a friend' mechanism offered consumers the chance to win a Playstation 2, copies of the game and related merchandise. This then allowed the client to build a database as a platform for future dialogue.

The downloaded file worked like a desktop microsite in itself, allowing for maximum product branding and word-of-mouth growth.
